Summer Techno-Arts Camp

The Summer Techno-Arts Camp provides a safe haven as well as educational and fun activities for youth in the Montgomery County area.  The camp utilizes a "camper friendly" teaching methodology, including "learning by doing" (rather than through a classroom/chalkboard style), a favorable 5:1 camper-to-staff ratio, good practice exercises, and a wide-range of programming and creative expression topics.  Our approach results in the achievement of the following objectives: TECHNOLOGY to stimulate youth interest in computer technology to offer instruction in computer programming and provide a suitable basis for subsequent study to teach age appropriate software to familiarize campers with the Internet to encourage both creativity and logical analysis by providing opportunities for campers to explore, discover and problem solve to provide a proper balance between educaitonal and recreational computer usage ARTS   to offer children an outlet for creative expression to develop knowledge and skills in fine arts
