Through community meetings and a needs assessment survey, it was determined that the most immediate need was for an after school tutoring program for the children of Montgomery County.  The LADDERS After School tutoring program was established to address this need and provide a safe and supportive environment for academic and social enrichment.  Our program offers: Tutoring in literacy and math with school district curricula Mentoring from prositive adult role models to build self-esteem and respect for others Staff of committed certificed teachers and trained college-age tutors Small group instruction Rigorous evaluation for demonstrating results and continually improving program   Through partnerships with local school districts, we provide education initiatives consisting of tutoring for math, science, reading, computer education and mentoring.  Currently, we have a tutoring program for 11th grade students of Wissahickon High School  that meets onsite on Monday and Thursday from 2:30 - 4:00pm in the library.  Additionally, we offer an evening program for children in grades K-12 at our offices in Penllyn, PA.  On Tuesday evenings from 6:30pm - 8:30pm, our staff provides homework assistance.
